1. What are the primary elements of DRAGONBOARD?
DragonBoard is manufactured from a combination of magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride and includes fibrous reinforcement.

2. How is the magnesium mined? Is it done in a strip mining setting or removed from under the ground leaving the surface unharmed?

3. What types of applications can DragonBoard be used for?
Applications include single-family homes, apartment complexes, commercial high-rise buildings, theatres, museums, schools, hospitals, retail, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, airports, subway stations, tunnels, fire separations, etc. DragonBoard is a U.S. patented, UL approved fire resistant, water resistant, hight-impact constrution panel that is well-suited for both interior and exterior sheathing applications. With its mold resistant, fire resistant and high impact properties, DragonBoard should be used whenever there is a high value placed on a building's contents and equipement of when health and safety concerns exist.

4. What does DRAGONBOARD look like?
DRAGONBOARD is light tan to cream in color. Standard production material is very smooth on one side and sand textured on the other.

DRAGONBOARD can be finished with any traditional drywall compounds.

6. What paint does the manufacturer recommend for outdoor signage boards?
DRAGONBOARD accepts any type of paint, wallpaper and tiling. Standard edges are square or tapered. Special edges and sizes are available.

7. What sizes and thicknesses are available?
DRAGONBOARD is available in sizes of 4'x8', 4'x9', 4'x10'. Thicknesses available are 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", 9/16" and 3/4". Custom sizes are also available.

8. What tools are necessary for cutting the panels?
DRAGONBOARD may be cut, trimmed or shaped using ordinary power or hand tools.

9. How does DRAGONBOARD perform with immersed in water?
DRAGONBOARD is completely waterproof! It will not disintegrate when immersed in water or exposed to freeze/thaw cycles for prolonged periods.

10. How does mold affect DRAGONBOARD?
DRAGONBOARD is a non-nutrient to mold or fungus per ASTM G21 and does not support insect life. It provides superior moisture resistance in high-humidity areas and combats the growth of mold and mildew.

11. Is DRAGONBOARD a substitute for traditional drywall?
Use DRAGONBOARD wherever a UL rated fireproof, waterproof, mold free, fungus free, high impact surface is called for. DRAGONBOARD cuts, handles and finishes like drywall.

12. Is DRAGONBOARD more expensive to use than traditional drywall?
On the contrary. DRAGONBOARD achieves fire-ratings using fewer panels, hence lower labor, loading and shipping costs than traditional drywall. DRAGONBOARD is significantly less expensive than drywall in most applications. Savings can exceed 60% on many jobs!

Yes. DRAGONBOARD is an ideal surface for residential and commercial exteriors, interiors, shaftwalls, flooring and more.

14. Is DRAGONBOARD considered a "GREEN" product?
DRAGONBOARD is manufactured from mineral components and water. It contains no organic solvents, asbestos, oils or toxins. No energy is consumed during the manufacture of DRAGONBOARD since the entire process is conducted at room temperature.

15. Do I need to buy different DRAGONBOARD products to gain all the benefits of DRAGONBOARD?
Not at all. Unlike other sheathing and flooring products, DRAGONBOARD is always, fireproof, waterproof, mold-insect-fungus-free, high impact and high STC-rated.
